Operation & Maintenance
The investment cost of electromechanical systems in a plant is quite large, but after the plant is put into operation, periodic maintenance, which is necessary for the systems to operate economically with maximum efficiency, minimum cost and without failure for many years, is often neglected.
Thus, after a certain period of operation after the installation of the plant, malfunctions occur and measures are taken only to eliminate the malfunction. Most of the time, unplanned interruptions in the plant due to lack of maintenance cause a decrease in productivity, damage to the plant and a decrease in quality.
When material and service invoice costs are added to all these, the loss is always higher than planned by the facility management. By carrying out operation and maintenance activities in accordance with a program, huge savings can be made in items such as electricity, water, fuel, spare parts and the use of labor.
